The Te Mata Peak Experience is our

most popular tour, taking in some of

the very best driving roads in the region. 

 

Departing Napier, we start along the coast and then swing inland to the beautiful Tuki Tuki Valley. It is a stunning country ride  with incredible views across the Tuki Tuki River to the Eastern flank of Te Mata Peak and Craggy Range Winery followed by the exhilarating climb of almost 400m to the top of the Peak with spectacular, 360-degree panoramic views of Hawke's Bay and on a clear day as far as the volcanic Ruapehu!

After the opportunity to enjoy the fantastic views, possibly watch some paragliders taking off and soaring high above and plenty of photos, we will head back down the Peak and through the orchards and vineyards to Napier. 

 

Sunglasses are an absolute must.  On cool days warm jackets and scarves are also recommended.
 

   

The trip lasts approx 2 hours with an approx 20 minute stop at Te Mata Peak for photos.

       
Adults $200, Children 8-12 years $150. Minimum fare $400.
 

Available for cruise ship passengers, we have set bespoke departure times to suit your docking times.
Napier Port supplies free shuttles into Napier City for cruise passengers, we will arrange to meet you at the National Aquarium shuttle drop-off point to start your excursion. Please not that tours within 2 hours of your departure time should not be booked due to the shuttle system in Napier.
