FAQs

Can you collect from the Napier cruise port?

As Napier does not have a cruise passenger terminal, the City operates free shuttles from the ship to the city. The first stop is the information centre, and the second is the National Aquarium, where we will depart from. We ask passengers to be at the aquarium 15 minutes before departure.

What happens if my cruise ship doesn’t dock?

If for any reason your cruise ship does not dock then a full refund will be issued.

Do you offer hotel pick-up and drop-off?

We will do our best to accommodate hotel ,pick-ups but generally this is limited to Napier CBD and depends on other bookings. If you would like to be picked up, please send us a message.

Our standard departure point is the National Aquarium, where there is ample free off-road parking for cars and motorhomes.
Havelock North and Hastings are not pick up points.

What Happens in Case of Bad Weather?

If bad weather strikes, we will try to reschedule or offer a full refund if that is not possible. We prioritise safety and ensure everyone enjoys their experience. It’s all about keeping our guests happy and secure!

What Should I Wear for the Supertrike Ride?

Sunglasses are essential for eye protection, as we do not wear helmets.

Passengers are advised to wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. Wrap up warm, a light jacket and a scarf are a good idea, especially on cooler days. Sunscreen for that extra sun protection is always a good idea under the Hawke’s Bay Sun! Hold onto your hats!

What can I bring on the Trike?

We have limited storage space in the back of the Supertrike, suitable for a couple of small backpacks. We kindly request that you bring only one bag per couple and consider souvenir shopping after your ride.

Don’t forget that camera but hold on tight!

Are There Age Restrictions for Participating in the Tour?

The only age restriction for the tour is that participants must be at least 8 years old to ensure safety. Phil, your guide, loves making sure everyone has a fantastic time, regardless of age!

Can I Bring a Camera on the Supertrike?

You can definitely bring a camera on the Supertrike. Capturing those breathtaking views is a must! Just make sure it’s secure during the ride, so you don’t miss any stunning moments along the way.

Is Food or Drink Provided During the Tour?

No food or drink is provided during the tour, so you should grab snacks or drinks beforehand. It’s all about enjoying the ride and the stunning views without any distractions!

Can I ride as a single passenger?

Yes. If you want to travel alone, you would need to pay for the fixed minimum rate of two adults. Although with 4 seats available, drop us an email and we’ll see if we can team you up on tour with some other riders which will mean only paying for a single seat. This cosy atmosphere allows everyone to bond, share stories, and soak in the stunning views together.

How does Phil's hat stay on?

Mostly by the power of persistence and determination, but the shape helps too! For the occasional instance when the wind overpowers this, there is an elastic chin strap to catch it! It is a much-loved hat which is adorned with hat pins gifted by guests over the years.
